Greetings everyone!

Just a short note to say that I FINALLY pulled the trigger and published my first book of stories and yarns from this blog site. Its title: “BBall’s Logbook Volume 1.”

Was it easy? Not really. I used Amazon’s self-publishing service, but the learning curve regarding the “work” of formatting, etc., was a bit steep. In the end, copious use of their instruction pages and plenty of YouTube videos (sprinkled with a few exclamations at the screen of “WHAT? I don’t even have that button on my version of MS Word!”) finally left me with a version that looked nice and read easily.

I was ably assisted by my loving wife, Debora, who served as chief editor, content aide-de-camp, visuals expert, and advertising guru. Frankly, without her help, I would probably still be working on this… she was indispensable.  I strongly suggest that if you are harboring aspirations to publish, find a trusted advisor/confidant to assist you. They will be of immeasurable help, and possibly aid in keeping one’s sanity intact. Just sayin…

Speaking of advertising, her excellent suggestion was to have snazzy bookmarks printed with a QR code to help with ordering. They have been sent into the universe and beyond.

Volume 1 contains 12 of my tales, and I have recently begun work on Volume 2. Much like a parent corralling a house full of children, I have dozens upon dozens of these stories, but no real favorites. Each one holds a special place in my psyche. Some are full of joy and laughter, and some contain the opposite…but in the end, they are all from the heart.

As I glean them from the pages of this site and deposit them in the book, they will exist only in the Volume in which they are inserted. Rest assured, I have begun work on more… for my multiple Logbooks are brimming with lots of amazing tales from the sky.
